Inex not running 25s for now

With Cataclysm approaching, burnout is a reality, tempers are flaring, people are weary, and it’s difficult to find 25 people with the same level of dedication. Few people truly want to kill the Lich King on heroic mode – for a lot of people, the content is done, and it’s not worth the slog to kill LK heroic.

We’ve lost a few people, and can’t field 25s for the time being. The guild voted and the majority want to chill and do 10s for a while.

We’re still not sure what we’ll be doing in Cataclysm (25s or 10s), this will rest on what Blizzard’s 25man incentives are, and what the guild wants to do. But at least with shared lockouts coming in future, the guild was never in danger of splitting/disbanding as in the past – because we know that the “worst” that can happen is that we could become a 10man guild again, and a bunch of us loved it when we were a 10man guild during TOC.

So at the moment, we’re just chillin’. Disappointing to not “finish” heroic ICC, but not the end of the world.

For now though, if you would like to join us for 10s, please feel free to apply – just know that we are not currently doing 25s, and have no specific plans to go back to 25s at the moment.

HM Sindy & Putricide down; recruiting

What a great raid week – heroic Sindragosa and Putricide both down. Taking it easy for a few weeks let everyone recharge the raiding batteries, and Ruby Sanctum probably helped drum up a bit more interest. 25% ICC buff helps, too!

Heroic Deathbringer Saurfang 25

I don’t think many guilds jump straight into trying Saurfang on heroic, but I guess all I can put it down to is stubbornness. We went from “Let’s give it a try” to “We’re so close, let’s keep going” (and going..) After a 1% wipe, we knew we could do it, and kept at it.

After a bunch more sub-5% wipes, some frustrating RNG and a lot of tweaking, we had a flawless attempt that was so good that he died before people realised it was going to happen! One of those “it just clicked” attempts that we all love.

That brings us to 3/12 heroic so far, with Marrowgar (a huge joke!) and Gunship (Gunship..) down earlier in the week. Congrats also to those who have grabbed the server’s first heroic 25 gear this week; gear isn’t everything – but it’s definitely nice to know you’re wearing something that nobody else has yet. Enjoy your shinies!

I’m also going to go ahead and abuse my admin powers to send a shout-out to the Inex healing team: you guys are just fantastic. Awesome work all.

We had a rocky period of about 3 weeks where we didn’t even get any attempts in due to lack of numbers – so thank you to the vets for hanging in there, and to the new guys for slotting in so smoothly.

Recruiting DPS and healers

Real life has cruelly stolen away a few of our raiders, and we are re-opening recruitment for a few select spots – to kill Arthas and move onto hard modes with us.

Core positions are available.

We are currently seeking:

- priest (holy/disc)
- paladin (holy)

- warrior (DPS)
- druid (balance)
- druid (feral – willing to tank and DPS)

plus 1 or 2 more high DPS players.

Lich King 10man

Inex’s late night 10man group killed the Lich King on Tuesday. They’re moving onto hard modes this week – good luck guys.

Still working on him in 25man mode, hopefully we’ll get a kill soon!

Blood Queen

After I wasted our final attempt last week by pulling during wipe recovery, I did the walk of shame back into IC to try again.

Then I pulled her prematurely AGAIN. I’m never ever ever going anywhere near her before a pull, ever. I’m standing at the back of the room until the tanks run in. So embarrassing.

BUT – this time we got her, despite the face pull!

(Terrible druid is terrible)
