Well done Inexorable – only 8 months behind

Well done Inexorable – only 8 months behind
.. and Knock, Knock, Knock on Wood in only 6 tries. Great start to our raiding!
We’re off to a great start, jumping into Ulduar on Sunday to see how it would go. The only problem was that we had so many people online, I had to sit out!
We ended up knocking over:
- FL4
- A Quick Shave
- Stokin’ the Furnace
- Heartbreaker
- Steelbreaker
- Disarmed
- I could say that this cache was rare
Onward to Yogg – it’s only taken 8 months, right?
PS: Recruitment is now pretty much CLOSED. Wouldn’t mind a resto shaman (possibly other spec shaman, maybe), but otherwise we’re full. Thanks for all the apps!
So…… Never say never, or so they say.
When we reformed for 10s, we said we wouldn’t go back to 25s – and that was the genuine sentiment at the time, because most of us were sick of the core players having to push a bunch of slackers uphill.
But, over time, a few of us got the itch to go back to 25 man raiding again. There had already been a push from old members, friends, and outsiders who wanted us to get back to 25s so that they could join and push progression. The interest in the last week or so has been overwhelming.
We couldn’t really ignore it.. so it was put to a vote a few days ago, and decided that yes –
Inexorable will be returning to 25man raiding in Patch 3.3.

Inexorable (and its predecessor, Absolution) has competed for or held many server firsts through TBC and early WoTLK, before taking a break from 25s, and running 10s through patch 3.2. At the time, we had grown tired of trying to recruit from a limited pool, and feeling as though we were constantly carrying a number of second-rate raiders (either in skill or in attitude) as a result. It was too much strain and the guild split.
Recently we’ve had interest from both cross-server and cross-faction players, so the hope is that this time around we will be able to hand-pick our raiders and not suffer so much from recruitment headaches and having to settle.
Our goal is to get back into progression raiding in 3.3, and we intend to compete for top spot on the progression ladder.
Last one to Arthas is a rotten egg.
See you in Icecrown!

Three weeks, ~2.5hrs of attempts.
Feels good. It’s still a shame we couldn’t keep going on 25man; I’m confident that we would have killed him on 25man a long time ago.
Obviously we got Firefighter too (19/10); I just forgot to update. We also got Yogg+1 and Glory (26/10), and Tribute to Mad Skill (28/10).

Our first Anub hard mode kill, after a couple of grueling nights battling disconnects. 32 attempts remaining – not bad for our first full clear, and considering that we have only been doing TotGC for a couple of weeks! (we did Beasts back in September, but then spent time focusing on Mimiron in Ulduar).
We’re gathering momentum now that we’re back in the saddle and getting some new gear – shouldn’t be too long before we have our drakes and we can go give Algalon a try.
After a few hard modes early in the week, we rounded out our second week of raiding with Vezax and Yogg-1. The tally for this week:
Fantastic week!

We rounded out our first raiding week by killing Yogg, and then went back for Iron Council (Runemaster last). We decided to have a try at Trial of the Grand Crusader (10) before the raid reset, just to see what the damage was like. Turns out we’re slightly undergeared. But it was great for a laugh.
Back to Ulduar and heroics (and maybe some weekend PuGs) for more gear before we try that one again!
Great work this week – next week we’ll be knocking over as many Ulduar hard modes as we can.
Recruiting – holy pally
We could really use a good holy pally so that we don’t have to rely on people swapping characters all the time. If you’re interested in applying, please read our Expectations page, and then apply on the forums.
This week is our first official week of raiding after reforming. We’ve been spending time getting reacquainted, running heroics for achievements and badges, and generally having a bit of fun.
Last night was our first “real” raid – a clear of ToC10(N).

Great first raid everyone, last night was fun and smooth – we haven’t lost our touch
From here we are setting our sights on Ulduar hard modes, and Trial of the Grand Crusader, with a view to doing Tribute runs. Looks like I’m going to have to get a lot better at PvP bosses..
Welcome
Finally, welcome to our new members, and to our returning members – it’s good to have you on board!
A quick reminder for returning members – most old members are welcome to come back; but we may not have space in raids for you (getting a bit squeezy now). If you’d like to come back and chill with the crowd, you’ll still need to put in an application – just to be fair for everyone.

Alliance and Horde of Caelestrasz – you are invited to come along to a Kara speed clear challenge. Grab a team, sign up (see below) and let’s zerg Karazhan and see how fast we can drop the bosses.
There’s a 1000g prize to be split between the winning team members, plus a whole bunch of random prizes for coming along.
Details
This is something that we did back at level 70 when 3.0 hit, and we all got our new abilities – to see how fast we could clear the place. The fastest team took ~45 minutes to clear all bosses (except the beast boss).
The bosses themselves only take about 10 minutes; the bulk of the time is actually spent travelling through the instance, and I suspect this time it will be much faster because at level 80 it will be easier to bypass a lot of trash. Plus, the trash that can’t be bypassed will probably be nuked down in a few seconds, so I’m kinda picturing this long winding train of players and mobs weaving through the halls of Karazhan…
Here are the best boss kill times from way back then:
Rules
A WoW Meter Online report must be provided to me after the event to verify that you killed everything.
I’m not pointing fingers, but some people like to be “creative” and.. skip things. Every boss in Kara must die – except the silly animal boss. You can skip as much trash as you like, but all of the bosses (including both dragons, but excluding the animal boss downstairs) have to die.
Time starts from the first trash pull before Attumen.
If your parse starts with you killing Attumen, I’ll be able to tell you’re trying to cheat (by a whopping 10 or 20 seconds..). Don’t do that. The parse has to start with the first trash pull, and end with Prince’s death.
If there are any weird discrepancies in your log, you’ll be disqualified.
Don’t rip me off.
The entire team has to be present for each boss.
Split logs, because half your team went to fight Aran and half stayed to do something else, will just make things confusing. Besides, it’s meant to be a team effort, right? So stick together.
Stack whatever you want.
I suggest minimal healing, I doubt you’ll need much..
All teams zone in at the same time.
There shouldn’t be anyone else at Kara opening the gate, so the best way to do it is to have both teams standing back while I stand at the gate, yell GO! and open it for them. Please respect this. Wait for Keeva/Kiiva to tell you to go.
When you’re done, run back down to me as fast as you can!
I’ll still need to verify the winning team from the reports, though.
Prizes
You need to nominate a team and members to be eligible for prizes.
This is just to make it easier for me. Please nominate your team members, so that I can send out prize money and random prizes later. If I don’t have your name, you can’t win!
Nominate your team members by commenting below.

For this challenge I will be donating 1000g prize money (of my own), meaning that the winning 10 people will take home 100g each. They will also win the admiration and adoration of the entire server.
